I was able to bond with my friends yesterday at New York Supreme (NYS.) Two of my friends paid 70% of the bill. Aside from the fact that the food was superbly delicious, nothing really beats a yummy treat from friends.
It was my first time to eat in NYS and from their menu, I highly recommend the Panizza. It comes with soft taco bread baked with tomato sauce, ground beef, and cheese just like a thin crust pizza. The only difference is it was served in long cuts and 2 inches in diameter. The Panizza comes along with these lovely looking green leaves of Arugula, alfalfal, and pesto sauce.
I enjoyed eating the Panizza because I have some participation in creating its taste and you can enjoy eating it with your bare hands. No spoon and fork needed. Just top the tortilla bread with some Arugula leaves and alfalfal, sauce it with some pesto sauce, roll it, and eat it. Yummmyyy! I can still taste the Arugula leaves. It is very down to earth eating it with friends.
It was my first time to eat Arugula leaves and I was amazed with its taste. I was expecting a bitter, herbal, leafy taste, but none of these was present when I tasted it. The Arugula has a nutty flavor. I love it! It was amazing that something leafy would taste so nutty!
I love the soft tortilla bread that was finely baked with some pizza sauce and cheese. I love the pesto sauce that comes with it. The pesto seals the nutty flavor of the Arugula and Alfalfal.
I also love their pesto sauce because it was made from olive oil and freshly food processed garlic. The garlic was just enough to control the over powering taste of the basil leaves so you do not have to gag if you happen to excessively put it in your Panizza.
The pesto sauce enhances the flavors of the Panizza creating a tasteful tinge of leafy, nutty, and beefy flavor. All the flavors simply mixed well creating a heavenly taste inside my mouth leaving a distinctive satisfaction that I will for sure remember for days!
I so love the pesto sauce that I even topped it with my Chicken Pasta Parmigiana. Just to savor and enjoy its well balanced flavors. Oh by the way, it is not a good idea to order Chicken Pasta Parmigiana along with Panizza or Carbonara because you won’t enjoy it. The flavors of the Carbonara and Panizza overpower the taste of the Chicken Pasta Parmigiana leaving a tasteless Parmigiana.
I also love their Spaghetti Carbonara. I must admit, NYS Carbonara exceeded the taste of Extremely Expresso Coffee Shop’s Carbonara (EE is a popular coffee shop in SM, Clark, a Philippine counterpart of Starbucks.)
NYS Spaghetti Carbonara is almost the same as what I make at home. The creamy flavor of the cheese and cream blended well together creating a soft, milky, and tasteful flavor.
I also love the bread that comes with it. I am not sure if their bread that comes along with their spaghettis were freshly baked, but, NYS’ chef made a job well done with them. They are very tasteful not the usual garlic bread that you are so afraid to taste when you are having a romantic dinner date. It was painted with food processed olive oil, herbs, basil, and garlic. The flavors of these ingredients were just very mild, which makes them perfectly matched with their flavorful spaghettis.
Their Pasta Putannesa also exceeded my expectation; however, I did not get to enjoy it well because I was so in love with the satisfaction and flavors of the Panizza and Carbonara that they are giving me.
After dinner, some of my friends suggested to try a Korean Restaurant on our next food trip. Wink * wink * I can’t wait to taste jjajamyeong and bulgogi. Hahaha

Jo,
You have put perfect description of the dish in words. I enjoyed reading your post as much as I enjoyed relishing the dish we had in NYS.
Can’t wait for our next food trip:)
